About

Our Mission

The Ordinal Research Institute’s mission is to advance theoretical physics through collaboration and research, and to strengthen the research ecosystem by exploring innovative models for funding groundbreaking scientific work

Our Work

The Ordinal Research Institute has two primary objectives.

  1. Advance Knot Physics. Develop, refine, and extend Knot Physics as a novel framework in theoretical physics, and explore its potential applications across related areas.
  2. Innovate Research Funding Models: Explore new ways of funding research that reward meaningful contributions and broaden access to scientific support.

Our Structure

The Ordinal Research Institute is an independent nonprofit organization. We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and supported by a leadership team that oversees operations, research coordination, and organizational strategy.

ORI is funded through philanthropic contributions and partners with Mission Edge, a nonprofit fiscal sponsor.

Research at ORI is carried out by a growing team of collaborators working on theoretical physics problems related to the Knot Physics framework.
